Our Approach
Quality throughout the software lifecycle
SafiCert treats testing as a continuous contribution across delivery — not a single step before release. Our work is risk-based, collaborative and transparent.
Expertise
Expertise behind SafiCert
SafiCert is a dedicated software testing team led by Séverin DOHO, an ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level), with hands-on experience in manual testing, test automation and quality engineering. We partner with both international and local companies to uncover quality risks early, strengthen their testing practices and ship more reliable applications with confidence.

Where QA contributes
Quality is built in at every stage, not inspected in at the end.
-
Requirements
Clarify testable requirements and surface risk early.
-
Design
Review flows and edge cases before build begins.
-
Development
Exploratory testing alongside feature work.
-
Integration
Validate APIs and cross-service behaviour.
-
Pre-release validation
Regression coverage and release-readiness checks.
-
Production feedback
Learn from production to improve the next release.
Risk-based testing
We focus effort where it matters most. Test priorities are derived from the factors most likely to affect your users and your release:
Risk-based testing here refers to functional and quality risk — deciding what to test first. It is not penetration testing or an offensive security assessment.
- Business impact
- User impact
- Technical complexity
- Change frequency
- Integration dependencies
- Data sensitivity
- Deadlines
- Historical defect areas

Frequently asked questions
When should we involve SafiCert?
As early as helpful — from clarifying requirements before build, to validating a release, to setting up continuous testing. Earlier involvement usually means cheaper defects and clearer release confidence.
Can you test an application already in production?
Yes. We regularly assess live applications, identify risk areas, add regression coverage and help teams regain release confidence.
Do we need an existing test plan?
No. If you have one, we review and build on it. If you do not, we create a test strategy and plan as part of the engagement.
Can you work with our developers?
Yes. We collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, share clear defect reports, and integrate into your existing workflow and tooling.
Cypress or Playwright?
It depends on your product architecture, browser coverage, team skills and long-term maintenance. SafiCert recommends the framework that fits your product — we do not force one tool.
Can you improve an existing automation project?
Yes. We review existing frameworks, stabilise flaky tests, improve architecture and maintainability, and extend coverage where it adds the most value.
How is price determined?
Every engagement is scoped individually according to the application, risks, objectives, timeline and required level of coverage. SafiCert prepares a tailored QA package after an initial discovery session.
Do you provide penetration testing?
No. SafiCert specialises in software quality assurance and functional quality engineering. Penetration testing and offensive cybersecurity assessments are not part of our services.
Can you work remotely with international teams?
Yes. SafiCert is based in Douala, Cameroon and delivers remotely to teams across Africa, Europe and North America.
What information is needed to start?
A short description of your application, its stage, your main quality concern and any timeline. Sensitive details are only exchanged through a secure channel after initial contact.
